Wilardy Pearly White Lucite Purse

This Wilardy 1950's handbag in pearly white has a clever lucite handle that is one piece at the top, then divided into 2 pieces at each end, a tricky maneuver. An impressived 11-1/2" wide x 4-1/4" high (10" tall with handle) x 3-1/4" deep.
This bag is in excellent condition with no cracks, crazing, warping, cloudiness, yellowing, or odors. The hardware is shiny with some slight darkening on the hinge inside, but no corrosion or pitting whatsoever. There is a white line (see photo below) embedded in the lucite in the manufacturing process. It may look like, but absolutely is not a crack; it is a only a line of difference in the coloring. This purse has lost its mirror as evidenced by some very, very light residue on the lid inside. This may actually be an advantage as many Wilardy light-colored bags with mirrors in the lid suffer from a dark shadow seen through the closed top. Happily this bag will never have that problem. The clasp holds perfectly and has no finish wear.
