Whiting and Davis has been making ladies handbags for over 100 years, specializing in unique metal mesh bags. This is an example of one of their most spectauclar lucite trimmed designs from the 50's. Measures 10-1/2" wide at the bottom x 6-1/4" high (without the handle) x 3" deep. This bag is white with tortoise colored lucite (often mistaken for bakelite.)
Near Mint Condition. The white metal mesh is in amazing condition with no discoloration, nothing broken, nothing missing, and no paint loss. The clasp closes securely. The inside is clean. The structure or framework inside the body is sturdy and not bent or sagging. You will have to look hard to find the teeniest of scratches. A real attention-getting special occasion bag.
