Joseph LaRose Zebra Shoes

Joseph La Rose designed and sold shoes in downtown Jacksonvile, Florida from 1949 to 1999. His designs were manufactured by several companies throughout the world but only sold in his single store. Mr LaRose custom designed shoes for Marilyn Monroe and Joan Crawford (a somewhat difficult customer.) His shoes were also worn by Betty Grable, Jayne Mansfield, Carol Channing, and Jackie Kennedy, among others.
This is one of his most famous designs, fabulous black and gold striped patent, which we have dubbed the 'zebra' shoe. The red heel is a striking contrast. The soles appear to be genuine leather, but there is no materials label. They are size 6-1/2 N.
Near Mint Condition. Never worn, so no wear on the heels or soles, just some extremely minor shelve scuffing on the soles. No scrapes, stains, spots, dirt, or mildrew. The insoles look perfect. Don't wear a size 6-1/2 N? These would make a stunning showcase display.
