Joseph LaRose designed and sold ladies shoes in Jacksonville, Florida from 1949 to 1999. His designs were manufactured by several companies throughout the world, but only sold in his store. He custom designed shoes for Marilyn Monroe and Joan Crawford (a somewhat difficult customer.) His shoes were also worn by Betty Grable, Jayne Mansfield, Carol Channing, and Jackie Kennedy, as well as many other celebrities.
These shoes are gloriously shiny patent leather, signed 'leather upper and quarter linings, other parts of man-made materials.' The white soles outline the shoes, giving them great contrasting colors. They are size 5B and have a 2-1/2" heel.
Near Mint Condition. No scrapes, marks, or wear of any kind. Never worn; the bottom soles are like new. The insoles are intact and clean. The heels look perfect. A real find for a small-footed lady!
