Colorful Flower Garden Box Purse

This wood box purse is signed "Papier Mache de Francisco Torres Mexico." However, I don't actually see any papier mache. Rather all the flowers and butterflies are outlined with a thick rope-like string. Maybe this technique is considered paper mache, I really don't know. I do know that the results are quite amazing.
This box measures 9" wide x 4-1/2" high x 5" deep. The inside is nicely lined with red felt and a mirror framed by faux pearls.
Near mint. This bag was purposely painted with a distressed or washed look to give it character and, happily, will hide any tiny nicks for years to come. I actually don't see any nicks. There is one pinpoint dot where the inside hinge screw is barely poking through the side of the bag, really insignificant. No stains, dirt, cracks, crazing, odors, or chips. The hardware is nice and shiny and functioning perfectly. The inside is clean and undamaged.
