Joseph La Rose designed and sold ladies shoes in Jacksonville, Florida from 1949 to 1999. His designs were manufactured by several companies throughout the world, but only sold in his store.
Mr La Rose custom designed shoes for Marilyn Monroe and Joan Crawford (a somewhat difficult customer.) His shoes were also worn by Betty Grable, Jayne Mansfield, Carol Channing, and Jackie Kennedy, as well as many other celebrities.
This particular shoe is known to collectors as the 'Marilyn shoe' as it is the sexy style he created for Marilyn Monroe. They are size 8-1/2 S with an adjustable strap. They have a 4" heel.
Excellent Condition. Never worn, so there's no wear on the heels or heel tips. No stains, marks, or scrapes. The bottom soles show some age/color variation. The insoles are intact and undamaged with some extremely pale yellow spots. Sexy shoes to show off your legs!
