Louis Coblentz produced fine, high-quality ladies handbags from 1935 to 1980. This classic style might be attributed to anything during that time, but most likely the 50's or 60's. The color is black with shiny brass metal. There is a layer of hard plastic black trim over the front part of the metal frame on both sides with the brass showing above and on the sides. This bag measures 9" wide x 7" high (without handle) x 3-1/2" deep at the bottom.
Excellent condition with light scratching and barely-there rubbing wear on the bottom corners. The 2nd close-up photo above, shows the scratch marks in the harhest of lighting to make them more visible. This is rather exaggerated but we wanted to show them. There is no wear on the brass. No wear on the handle. No wear inside. A fine quality bag with some light signs of use on the leather.
